JOIN THE GREAT KOALA COUNT THIS NOVEMBER

This year, the National Parks Association of NSW, in partnership with the Great Eastern Ranges Initiative, is running the ‘Great Koala Count’ from 7 -17 November, which anyone in eastern Australia can get involved in!

A free GPS-enabled smartphone app linked to the Atlas of Living Australia, enables Citizen Scientists to record their Koala sightings directly to their smartphone. Or you can enter your records on-line at the website below.

This will assist in building a comprehensive picture of Koala numbers and locations to inform future conservation strategies for the species. To get involved in the Great Koala Count, simply register as a Citizen Scientist on NPA’s Data Portal at www.greatkoalacount.org.au, download the app and you are ready to start.
