Talking Wildlife - Celebrating 50 Years with Wildlife Queensland
Wildlife Queensland is bringing together some of Queensland's leading wildlife researchers and campaigners to celebrate its 50th anniversary this year. A special conference, Talking Wildlife, will take place on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 September at Bardon Conference Centre, Brisbane.
If you register before 31 July, you will receive an earlybird discount as well as free membership of Wildlife Queensland. The cost is only $265 for the 2-day conference including the gala dinner.
Featuring topics such as traditional wildlife knowledge, urban ecology; environment and the law, campaigning and biodiversity protection, Talking Wildlife will be a celebration of the history and successes of Wildlife Queensland as well as an inspiring and educational forum addressing the latest in science, politics and social trends affecting wildlife preservation. The Hon. Andrew Powell, Minister for Environment and Heritage Protection, will open the forum on Friday 7 September. Keynote speakers are Paul Gilding, renowned author, corporate advisor and conservation campaigner - and Don Henry, executive director of the Australian Conservation Foundation, and Wildlife Queensland's leading campaigner and director in the 1980's.
