Join us for a bushwalk at the Australian Wildlife Conservancy sanctuary in Little Cedar Creek catchment at Curramore. This 175 ha forest is home to many threatened flora and fauna species and is a key linkage in the wildlife corridor between the Kondalilla and Conondale National Parks. We will visit some impressive restoration sites where extensive lantana hillsides have now been replaced by natural regeneration.
The walk is about 4km on barely formed tracks in quite steep country with slippery slopes and loose rock. Suitable for fit and agile walkers. We will limit the walk to 15 people with priority for Roving Restorers volunteers. Bring water, snacks and lunch.
Car pool at the back of the IGA carpark in Maleny at 8.00 am or meet en-route (call 5429 6622 for meeting arrangements).
