Native Plant ID
 & Weed Recognition Workshop
with Greg Smyrell

Barung Landcare is running a Native Plant ID & Weed Recognition Workshop on Wednesday 14th September.  This is the second in our Revegetating the Range series of workshops which will continue throughout the year.

Greg will tutor people using a couple of plant identification methodologies, focussing mainly on Hardin, MacDonald and Williams Rainforest Trees and Shrubs but also touching on Mangrove to Mountains (Leiper, Glazebrook, Cox & Rathie).  He will also cover a couple of other field guides commonly in use in our area.

This workshop will be held on a private property at Flaxton, as will the remaining workshops in the Revegetating the Range series.

It will be necessary to have a copy of Rainforest Trees and Shrubs at the workshop (or be able to share one with a friend).  We have copies for sale at $42 each, however we are able to offer a limited number of workshop participants the opportunity to purchase a copy at cost ($25).  Please indicate when booking if you wish to purchase one.  If you have a copy of Mangrove to Mountains that would also be useful to bring along, as well as any other rainforest guides you may have.

Morning tea will be supplied
