Barung Landcare presents another
Gardens for Wildlife Workshop

Making Your Front Garden for Wildlife: Stage 2
with Joan Dillon
To be held on Thursday August 18th,
9 - 12pm
Morning tea provided.
You are invited to join us in the Conference Room at the Hinterland Business Centre for our second workshop in this series. The workshop will be a mixture of theory and practice utilising the garden in front of the Hinterland Business Centre at 38A Coral St as our subject for a makeover.
Leanne Harper from Home Soil Solutions will be joining us to discuss why "soils ain't soils" up on the range. She will also demonstrate some simple techniques to enhance our understanding of soil properties, thus enabling us to work more productively with them. Ten visual assessments will be covered including Ph, texture, colour, structure, earthworm counts and the diversity of soil life.
Come along and help us finalise the plant list and plan for our small front garden (pictured above) as together we transform it into an attractive wildlife friendly garden.
This will be the second in a series of three workshops, the final one on Thursday September 22nd will focus on planting and developing the other garden areas around the HBC building.
